From Tuesday to Saturday, there is always a market to shop at in Mulhouse. Between the large Canal Couvert market, the one on Place de la Réunion, and the neighbourhood markets, here is where and when to find a stall in town, a stone's throw from our crêperie.
The Canal Couvert market
The largest market in eastern France: more than 300 traders, at 26 quai de la Cloche. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 7am to 5pm. Greengrocers, fishmongers, butchers, cheesemongers and Alsatian produce fill the stalls all year round.
The Place de la Réunion market
Right in the historic centre, Tuesday to Saturday, 7am to 6pm. A smaller market, handy for a quick errand between two visits, a few minutes' walk from the crêperie.
The neighbourhood markets
- Bourtzwiller market: Friday morning, 7am to 1pm, Place du Rattachement.
- Place Vauban market: Tuesday morning, 7am to 1pm (weather permitting, only a few stalls).
- Place de la Paix market: Saturday morning, 7am to 1pm.
Special markets
Place de la Réunion also hosts, depending on the calendar, an Easter market (Saturday 28 March 2026, 10am to 6pm), a second-hand book market from March to October, and of course the Christmas market, from late November to late December.
A tasty break after the market
Once you're done shopping, the Crêperie Crampous Mad, at 14 rue des Tondeurs, welcomes you all day long, Tuesday to Saturday, for a galette, a crêpe or an ice cream sundae. See the menu · Book a table
Days and opening hours checked in October 2026 on mulhouse.fr: please confirm them before your visit, especially around public holidays.
